ok i have a 10 gall with 23 wats tubes

thats like 2.3 wats per gallon

it used to be just 1.5 wats per gall
but i added another tube yesterday

i added root tabs and i use flurish liquid fert

i have laterite in the gravel

and i perchased amazon swords about or alittle less than 2 monthes ago

and they have been growing .... but really slow and small

i know i have to give it time to aclimatize and begin growing unemmersed

but isnt 2 monthes enough?

2.3WPG isn't a lot over a 10g, but I have seen amazons thrive with far less light. When did you add the rootabs and flourish? I don't think you should give up on the plant yet. What type of sword is it? There are many, many kinds and each have little tricks to them. What's the temperature of your tank? Do you dose iron? Do you have a picture of the plant?

temp is about 27

i have a mixture of iron slagg, fresh laterite and root tabs as my gravel.

Strange, I've always found amazon swords to be an easy plant, could just be a runt/poor plant. You could either try a new plant, or perhaps your tank just isn't right for amazon swords, every tank is different after all and you could spend years looking for the route cause and still not find it. Could also switch to one of the other Ech species.
