Hello all, this is going to sound daft, but I'd like to know if there are any White and Yellow/green fish out there -_- I know people generally go on what fish they like, but I would really like a couple of yellow and white fish to fit in with my tank.

In there so far:

2 zebra Danios
5 neon Tetras
1 male Betta (really laid back!)
1 octo
1 Cherry shrimp

I don't want anything that exceeds 2/3 inches either

Suggestions, pics welcome

Green laser corys would be a good addition along with a small group of panda's corys

You can get guppies and platys in lemon and white. A school of lemon tetra would look good. Boesemani rainbow fish are fantastic if you have room - dont be put off by the immature drab colurs - they colour up beautifully into lemon/white and greens.

For green you could have green tiger barbs.

How many gallons or litres is the tank?
The betta would be better off in a tank of its own.
Danio will nip its fins.
Also if you get guppys they don't mix with betta. Betta can kill them because of there flowing fins.

id also say lemon tetra

aghh, sorry guys, forgot this info!

Tank is 68ltrs about 17 us gallons

The danios havn't touched the betta, and the betta seems to be really laid back, he's scared of the cherry shrimp in there! I called him ferrari cause he's red

I'm aware that guppies plus betta = a big no, so unfortunatley, none of them! (though I have put a mirror in the tank before to see if he will flare...he did nothing and swam away!) (though I still won't be adding any guppies)

With lemon tetras, tell me, would they shoal with normal tetras?

I'm looking into calling these yellow/white fish Button and Barrichello, after my favourite racing team!

Thanks so far guys

~Andrew

lemon tetra may "shoal" with tetras of a similiar shape. They are interesting to watch, the males flare up and display to each other , no serious scrapping or anything, if fed a varied diet , i.e. good flake , forzen brine shrimp or bloodworm, with live food as an occassional treat , they colour up really nicely, a joy to watch , very peaceful :good: :good: :good:
