when i get my 75 gallon i would like more cichlids(mbuna,haps...)But i also want...
2 green sevs
3 clown loach
common bichir
and 4 syndontis petricola

do u think they will be fine?

i do.
i had a bichir in with my cichlid comunity ( s.a )
and he did exelent, the green severums, i have 2 gold ones about 6" now, and they are definately able to stand upto the mbuna i have ( hes a nasty one ) so now hes in with my florida gar 1 foot and some larger cichlids lol.

in my opinion and expirience, it should work, but keep a close eye on it just incase.

i know my most aggressive cichlid is a red zebra about 3-4 inches and has calmed down since a arranged the slate i have in a different order.

I would say fine except for the Sev's. Whilst they may cope with 1 Mbuna, they probably won't with a tank full of them, not to mention the different dietary requirements. :/

New world cichids are a poor choice of tankmate for mbuna no matter how you look at it, but the docile Severums especially. The bichir has the size (and will grow big enough to eat mbuna if it could catch them), but again comes from an entirely different biotope with a fully carnivorous and it's hardly a recommended mix. Malawi tankmates should really be other malawi tankmates, with the exception of some bottom dwellers.

Where are you getting the Syno petricola's from? They are damn near impossible to find around here. If you're getting them locally -- tell me how far Herkimer is from Manhatten?
Thanks!
