Hi everyone

here is a pic of my setup

Whatcha think

I quite like it. The silk plant sure look nice, and I like how you have arranged them.

What fish do you have in there?

Heya

Sorry, no offence but i dont like that tank :( i admire your aquascaping and im sure you and alot of other will like it, but to me it looks too whats the word... 'plasticy' because of those large leafed silk plants. A'll my eyes are drawn to are the plastic roots.

Bret

i like it but you need some real plants (no offence meant)

It looks nice concidering that plants are plastic. All other plants look good but that big one in the right doesn't look real to me.

I see 4 pristella/x-ray tetras, 2 cardinal tetras and a betta.

Well the person must have changed the pic because it looked like it was empty earlier.

LOL, it must be one of those picture puzzles you got as a child with the hidden objects that ended up being right in front of your face.
At first i just saw the Betta at the right side of the tank, near the surface. Took a deeper look into it, ah, there are the tetra and the pristella.
Impressive setup. Nice one Matt.

Max5 I think your tank looks great! Beautiful fish too, I admire you Pristella Tetras. I will have to pick some up sometime.

For the rest of you who disagree, not all of us have the time or money to handle live plants. I tryed them once, and they were just a pain in my ass. Maybe I went at it wrong. But I did my research, and still all I saw before my eyes was slow dieing money. Not cool. So I resorted to Plastic Plants that have in return lasted many years. I kinda get upset that this site always pushes all natural hardcore. Gets annoying. Especially since kids cant handle them (nor could I). So kids put harmless pictures of their tanks on the forum (that they think looks great, and most of the time I agree) , and just get drilled that the tank has plastic plants. Chill out guys!

Well there are plastic plants that don't look so plastic. I use them in my tanks and they look almost real.

My opinion about plastic plants is what it is because I'm a horticulturalist so I'm real plant person out side of aquariums too. And I always find my self thinking it's weird to use plastic plants because real plants are so easy. For example in this tank I have 1 fluorescent so very little light, I don't fertilize it at all, nor have CO2 adding. I just put those plants in there and they grow.

Maybe plants growth depends on water stats? From the tap I mean. Or something?

MAX5's tank look very good like I said. :) Especially that grassy plant in the front and that plant in the left look really good. And the decor is great. If I post some pics will you give me some tips? :D

I think it looks good :/

My 31 ltr is planted, its only got a flourescent in it, no CO2 or anything but I do add some plant feed - the growth rate of the plants is amazing
