In the kitchen I have a 30L biOrb with lava rock in the bottom, and it must be teeming with bacteria. I was wondering whether I could take a few peices out and put them into my new tank to speed up the cycling process?
It's currently been doing a fishless cycle for a week, and on the first day I put in some Nutrafin Biological Aquarium Supplement to start if off. Once it had been cycling for 2 days, it had a bacterial bloom. I put in 6 plants two days ago and added another 3 plants today.
Would adding a couple of bits of the lava from the biOrb help the cycle speed up?
I really want to get some fish in there!
Thank you!
