Matue Tank

i have just aqquired a second hand aquo one ar 510,and was thinking of putting a couple of blue rams in there,i know they really need a mature tank,if i transfer mature media into the filter,would it be ok to put them in?

"Mature" is just as much about the plants, other decor, stable water parameters as the media.

If you leave the tank to run for a month or more while the plants settle in with some other fish, then swap those out for the rams, then that should be better.

I've got 4 German Blue Rams in my tank they went in about 4 or 5 months after it was cycled and there very healthy and happy in the nice scottish water Great personality fish I love them.

Along with moving the media you could move 50% of the water across and a few other things from the tank. Ive done this many times in the past and got a tank up and running in no time.

Agree 100% I cloned the filter in this way for the other half's guppy tank and it worked well.
