I've got 4 angels, 3 definitely breeding size, and no mating.  I know that one is male from previous antics with previous tank mates!

One possibility is that I have a tank of males, but otherwise what else could be stopping them from breeding?

They could be spawning at night and eating the eggs before you see them, or eat the eggs as they spawn which mine do :(

Maybe!  When the male spawned before the eggs would be around for a while before they got spooked and ate them, but the most they managed was a couple of days - I think it was asking too much in a community tank so I moved the breeding pair into a tank by themselves which seemed to work better.

Mine actually got to free swimming fry in a community tank the second time they spawned then the fry suddenly disappeared, that was last year, now any eggs dont stay on the leaf or wood for longer than a few seconds before they are eaten. On their own they might raise some :)
