I noticed last night my mickey mouse platy had a mark between the ears (of the mickey marking). When I looked at it straight on it was white and when the fish turns to the side I can see it's slightly raised. Tonight it's not very noticable straight on but when she's looking straight at me I can see it's raised and white. I've taken pics but I'm having problems posting them, sorry.
I have no experience of ich buy it doesn't look like a grain of salt it's bigger.
No marks on any other fish.
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-20
Ph-8.2
Temp-25
30% water change done weekly, last done on Tue.
Stocking is in my sig.
Any ideas greatly appreciated! :good:

Upload to tinypic or imageShack and then right click on your uploaded picture. Select copy image URL.

Then on this board select that green square between the link and envelope (you see that yellow smiley while you write something here).
Paste the image URL there and add it to the text you were typing. Then post.

That's what happened. Sorry Fishblast, I followed your very easy instructions and still can't manage it!
I notice today that she has a white smudge on her back also, as if she rubbed off a chalky surface. Another platy has this also today. It definately wasn't there before.
Stats are the same as first post but I did a water change today.

I've just been looking at symptoms on the net and came across flex, also known as cotton wool disease. I'm not saying that's what they have but it looks like it. What actually has me worried is last week myself and my hubby noticed one of our platys had a change of colour of sorts. She's usually black/purple with lovely sparkly scales but we noticed she now has a greenish-yellow tinge to her. Looking at her now its' quite a strong tinge. The other two have the white marks I originally posted about.
Please can anyone help as I'm starting to panic!! I don't want to lose all of my lovely fish. I have my 10 gal in the shed so I can put them in that if I need to isolate them but it may be too late. Can I add meds to my current tank?
Someone help!!! :(

Use tinypic, you can upload without registering.

Thanks FishBlast, I'll try that. The mark is gone from one of the platys, buy the one with the mark on her tail still has it.

If it's just one dot, it could be a cyst or it could be a wound due to another fish pecking it or it could have hurt itself in the decor.
Ich usually covers the whole fish, but it sometimes just shows up as a dot.
Hard to tell just from description so the pic would be helpful.
