Hello
I have Green Hair Algae in my Marine Tank I have tried all sorts to get rid of it.
I have tried the Charcoal and Nitrate in the Filter.

I have tested the water and it is just about perfect.  But still the algae grows on the rocks and filers and glass.

I have tried snails but the Shrimp eat them all immediately a very expensive dinner that day.

The only other thing I can think of is that the tank is to the side of my window and I am now wondering if it is getting to much light.  Just want to ask the question as it will be an all day job to move the tank.  So I want to be sure it may improve things before the big move.

Any other ideas anyone can think of are welcome.

I had a tank of angels and butterflies and they ate the algae as it grew. What fish do you have and what size of tank do you have?. You say you have shrimp so fish types can be somewhat restricted.

Have you checked your phosphate levels?

What shrimp do you have? Shrimp eating healthy snails is news to me...

Is it a reef or a FOWLR tank?

What fish do you have at the moment?
