I am considering studying zoology, marine biology or medicine at Uni. I need to find work experience to help my application and I felt that I may be able to find some info etc on here about where to get it.

Does anyone here know where, or someone who may know where I could get valuable work experience in the marine biology field?

Is there anyone here who is a marine biologist and do you have any pros or cons, any extra info on job opportunities after Uni?

Cheers everyone,

Greg :good:

If you write to your nearest aquatic centres, sea life centres zoos etc most offer work experience placements for people who are serious about that kind of career.

They don't have many places and are pretty picky who gets them but it's worth a try :good:

I went onto the websites of the places close to me and found contact info. I then sent them all emails asking if I could do some volunteer work for them. I then had to send a CV and covering letter and be interviewed.

It's not easy but if it's what you want to do it's definately worth the trouble

many ppl That I know go to the national aquarium in baltimore to start off as an intern or for work experience...then they go to a big fish store in philly and work as a marine biologist. Go to a nearby , respectful petstore and work in the marine section
