Marina S15 Filter Noisy!

Hi,
 
My filter on my tank which is the Marina S15 external filter became noisy within the first week. so i took it where i got it from and got it replaced. Within 2 weeks that one also became noisy like a loud vibrating noise. I googled the answer and seems like i'm not the only one with this problem and seems to be a major design fault. Best solution that worked for people was to put a tiny amount of Vaseline on the propeller shaft thing which worked like a charm for about two days,
So my question is does anyone know a solution for this? 
Also can someone please recommend a decent external filter as i think theres no hope for this one in the long run.
