Hey guys yet another question from me.

Have placed two marbles in the tank and plan to get a ping pong ball to try and add some things for him to interact with. Those that have had success, did the bettas decide to play themselves or did you interact with them to get them interested?

Trying to interact more with my little guy and keep him stimulated. Will try the mirror thing again but that upset us both last time ;)

If mine look bored I give them different ornaments, ping pong balls didnt work with mine. Now the goldfish loved them but they are so thick...they kept going "Oh look a bit white thing" one minute later "Oh look a bit white thing" :hyper:

LOL well it IS an interesting white thing!! I will keep trying different things with him, just added a new silk plant which he keeps looking quizzically!

I just drop something in the water that will float thats ok for him, and he goes upto it like whats this.

Well goldfish arent the smartest things but I have always had a laugh out of watching them or half the things mine do and use to do...

I actually put 6 in, scattered around, but not TOO far from each other. He ignored them for about the first full day. Then I caught him lying near them, just staring at one of them. Soon after, he started nudging it with his nose, then later lying alongside it and giving a sort of a wiggle to make it move. Finally, the best, he would give one of them a push with his nose, then swim real fast in the direction it was going, to get in front of it and sort of "catch" it and push it back where it was! Hysterical! My soccer-player Betta.

But no... I did nothing but drop them in. When he stopped being so interested in them, I'd move them around to a different part of the tank and it would reignite his interest.

Hmmm may try moving them around to gain some interest, also getting and trying a ping pong this weekend.

thanks Winterlily! That really sounds too cute!
