Marbled Hatchet Fish

Nice lill fish. Always at the water surface, unlike my common hatchetfish which seem to be mid tank a lot of the time.

I also love Hatchet Fish, but ive seen these little buggers jump and tbh i dont think id have them very long before i found them one by one on the floor

Thanks for the comments guys The hatchets love to be near the lilies or close to some stem plants that touch the waters surface.

There are some small gaps in the cover glass over my tank, touch wood- they should be fine.

I had been looking for some marbled hatchets for a couple of months, its now the South American dry season so is the best time for collectors to catch the fish. I got 12 of these guys for £20.
