it is hard to take pictures of their sides they want to look at the camera...

i think it is impossibe to sex them, the only time you can is during breeding basically whoever is carrying eggs is the female!

it's very difficult to sex them. sometimes your "hunch" might be right. but based on the pictures you provided I can't even give you a hunch!
need clearer pictures!

but anyways, dont worry so much about what sex they are unless you're like me and are adamant about only keeping females.
just because they're male and female does not mean they will pair up!

It's hard to from your pictures, and it would be hard to tell anyway. They are usually sexed when they are about to lay eggs.
Some things I have noticed from mine is, the male is slightly larger than the female. The male has a 'hump' on his head and he is more aggressive/pushy towards the female. Although both do test each other for strength before mating.
If they are about to lay eggs. then it is certainly much easier. Females have thicker stumpy looking 'tubes' and males have pointy tubes.

Unless they are actively spawning it is impossible to be 100% sure. With experience, by watching behavior & a few of the previously mentioned physical traits you can guess at about 80% accuracy. This is with potential breeder size & larger angels, well settled in.
