Male Or Femal Ram

Do you think this is male or female. I was convinced it was female but not too sure now.

The first picture is from back in January and the other two are from today.

It's a female. The last pic in particular shows a typical female breeding tube. She looks a bit male-ish in the first pic because her body is not nice and rounded on the bottom, but you say that's from January when I presume she was new? Fish in the shops can be undernourished making a female have a male-like body shape. The recent pics show a rounded body and a definitely female vent.

Those do not have a lot of color they may not like the tank

Hi thanks for confirming this.

I think she lost a lot of colour as I have recently had to a really big clean of the tank and add more sand but mainly because I was chasing her around the tank with my camera to get a decent photo.

Her colours come out so much more when the light is off so I also think it needs more plant cover but I had to clear a load of plants because of an algae problem and overgrowth.
