Will 5 males guppies work with 2 female platies?

If not, would 1 male guppy, with 2 female platies work?

Thanks!

Oh wow! Strange i dont remember that! hehe

Well, what about 5 guppies? Do you recon that would work?

yeah it'll be fine, u can have 8492982758927924 male guppies with 1 female platy, if u have a tank big enough lmao

I would not suggest you have more males then females. The males would still try to mate with the females, and therefore would continue to stress them out. Especially since the males will have no females of their own. Maybe 3 and 2, if you have to have more males then females, but I would not go above that. Especially with your sized tank, and I'd definitely recommend you have a LOT of hiding places.

Thanks, i asked on irc and they said that its possible as theyre different spiecies and the male guppies wont be so interested in the platies, there may be some aggression. What do you think?

Did you mean 3 males guppies to 2 female platies?

How about 1 male guppy, and 2 female platies?

Cool, sounds good. And will the male guppy be ok on his own?

and did annastasia mean, 2 male guppies, with 3 female platies?

Will the guppies fight, or will they have the platies to concentrate on?

I would recomend that rather than postulale back and fourth you try it, and if your male gupps are to "frisky" then you can split them up and possibly take some of them back.

My lone male guppy ignores my females guppies and tries to mate with the female platies... hes a weirdo
