Making Your Own Decor

Now I know that clays are probably a bad idea... but is it possible to sculpt/craft your own decor?
I had always wondered this, but can't find any definite answers. I can only guess that it'd be a special kind of paint/primer or ceramics.

It's probably not possible, but it's a fun idea I think XD

I'm not sure about it, but if there is a way to, I would be very interested. I can already imagine me sculpting something for my whole tank. Oh, I sure do hope it is possible, and I will deffinately be following this thread.
