Hey there, this is just a random thought lol

I know that ideal numbers for mbuna are roughly 4 females to every male, but,
Is it possible to keep a single fish of a single species in a tank with multiples of others?

Please excuse the randomness of this post

Thanks in advance,

Maximus

Ok then :good:

So for example, I can put a singe demasoni or ect, in my tank, and he won't be bullyied
By the 5 labs?

thanks again,

Maximus

I think you would find that the demansoni would bully the labs I dont mean it will I just mean you wouldnt have a problem from the labs.

ok, thanks again mark :good:

So they can stick up for themselfs then? Good to know :shifty:

Thanks for the help :good:

Oh yeah, they regularly stick up for themselves against fish more than twice their size - Demasoni rarely back down. They are one of the most aggressive Mbuna species - especially towards their own species and those of a similar appearance - usually fine with labs though. :good:
