i am using my old saltwater tanks pump for my freshwater, i was told it was ok by both my local fish dealer and Aquarium Magizean (i think it was in the july issue but maybe the june).
well right now my giant danio seems to be hiding behind the spill tank (there is not water movement back there) like it cannot swim in the current. i also have a problem with my black neon tetras, this morning i found one inside the filter, luckily it was on the foam pad with water.
so does anyone one know how to either make my pump put out less current? i changed the direction so its not directly flowing toward the spill tank and it seems to be better but im worried that the odd direction of the current might cause dead spots b/c the water isnt cycling in a circle motion.
any help will be greatly appreciated (sp?)....i dont want to buy a new pump but if worst comes to worst i will.
