is it possible to clone your plants? Take some cuttings and plant as per usual?


Or is there more to it?

Most plants you can either cut the top off making two plants (this works with stem plants and is as simple as cutting them in half!) others produce platelets that you can remove when big enough and plant.

Is this the same for amazon swords?

Swords produce a flower spike that plantlets grow off, very easy if you can get it to do it.

You can split java ferns at the ribosome.

themu.. where would u cut a sword to make the clone? way down by the roots? or will it root itself if u just cut it close as possible to the roots?

Theoretically you should be able to split the plant and get it to grow, but in practise its easier to wait for the plantlets to grow.

right on. I just got into the world of aquatic plants. I use to grow non aquatic plants for quite a while and cloning was the method of choice.
