I would chop those Bacopas half way up the water level and replant the cuttings elsewhere. Continuing this will increase your plant mass and also mean that the ones where you chop the tops off will branch out and thicken up.

i do keep cutting them, they are growing at an alarming rate.
on some, there no roots started so I am just hoping that some roots will start and them I will trim some more

With stems cut the top off just below a leaf node.

The part you chop off cut the bottom leaves so that there is still a bit of leaf left which will act as anchor until the roots develop by which time they will have rotted away provising some nutrient right at the base of the plant.

take the next set of leaves off totally and then replant.

Has anyone considered, or will consider - making one - for me haha.
If i paid for everything, paid for postage, and time put in (beer money) - how about it?

I just know i am useless at this kind of thing :(

Edit: Sorry to hijack

what do you need made for you?
The actual Co2 system?
UK or US?

Everything - other than the coke bottles themselves!
UK however.

If anyone is interested in doing this for me - give me a heads up.

I would be happy to help out, but i am in the states.
its really not that hard to do. Just buy the stuff and follow the linked threads that were added in this post.
maybe someone else from the UK would be willing to help you out

I don't do anything for students except subsidise their education from my hard earned taxes!!!

Its easy to do and anyone who is capable of passing a 'useful in the real world' course should be able to follow some simple rules and basic science. I did with my 'left school at 16' knowledge ;)

Besides you'll have more fun making it than receiving it premade.

At £10 thousand a year (nearly) for me - tax payers are not hardly contributing as much as they like to moan.
The only thing i get cheap at the moment is the Evening Standard.
Try moaning at the deteriorating health service, overly deployed national defence and a dire attempt at the Olympics.
Not to mention an economy in recession because of consumer lending and a rubbish taxing system - which is helping no one including students.

I will eventually have a crack at it, DIY is far from my strong point, rated useful in the real world or not.
I just wanted to see if anyone fancied doing it properly for me - and making some beer money at the same time.

I am sure your right though, there are probably more benefits to me doing it myself.

If you do it yourself you will have a few pounds extra towards the £10,000 contribution you make towards your £25000 course!!!

Or some beer money for yourself!!!

It really is as easy as we say. If you look at one of the other threads which is probaly on the first page still there is a link to a full diagram. Simply hose old bottles etc.

Anyone know how many of these I would need for a 55gal tank?
