Makes Me So Angry!

so... i went to walmart and i went to the fish and guess what now they have crown tales! im so angry and petco does not take care of bettas either or goldfish 4 deviders in a 40g tank with 50-100 gold fish in each devider!

These sorts of places never take care of their fish unfortunately. I have a similar problem with my local Pets at Home. If it upsets you i'd advise against going in and putting in a complaint.

I know what you mean Betta989, my local Petsmart was horrifically overstocked with fish that most of them were so stressed that they were eating each other to bits! They had SEVEN PIRAHNAS that were all bigger than a softball in one itty bitty two gallon (at the most!) tank. Now I understand that Pirahnas are schooling fish, but not when they're stuffed in a teeny box! It made me so angry, and then there were a ton of cories piled into those 2 gallons too, and one poor little one had no fins or barbels and was pitifully writhing along the bottom of the tank while the others continued to pick at it. It was awful! Not all the Petsmarts or other stores are like this though, this one was just in particularilly bad shape, but I felt so awful looking at those poor fish. And all the silver dollars had no fins, to the point where I actually began to wonder if they were naturally like that (since I had never really seen one before) until I saw one poor baby who still had half of his tail fin left.

What's weird though is that my Petco is wonderful to it's fish. I bought my two guppies there, and all the fish I saw were in great shape. I only saw one dead fish too, unlike most of the other fish and pet stores I've been to. I really like my local Petco, not to mention that all of the staff there were continuously asking us if we had any questions or if we needed any help.

What's weird though is that my Petco is wonderful to it's fish. I bought my two guppies there, and all the fish I saw were in great shape. I only saw one dead fish too, unlike most of the other fish and pet stores I've been to. I really like my local Petco, not to mention that all of the staff there were continuously asking us if we had any questions or if we needed any help.

The petco by me has guppies and I brought one home and it almost died and I took it back and they put it in their "hospital tank," where it died! All their guppies always seem to have ich and the gal ignored me when I told her I saw the ich spots on some of them.

Interestly enough, I bought three of my bettas there and all of them are doing really good! Picture of healthy. I guess I lucked out!
