Anyhow, I run a Magnum 350 canister filter with just the micron cartridge in in, and actually have two cartridges. One in the running filter, while the other soaks in a light bleach water bath. When necessary, I rinse out the bleach water thoroughly (of course), then swap them out. By the time one is dirty, the other looks and flows fresh.
My question is this- is there a better way to do this? Some other, less toxic and odorous cleaner to restore the micron cartridge?
