Made To Order Aquariums

Are there any websites that will make and delivery an aquarium to your specification.

I want one thats not very high at all, but long. Something like 30/35cm by 90cm (and 30cm depth). But the longer aquariums get, the taller they usually are.

Seen a one that fits the bill kinda at P@H, its 91cm long, 30cm deep and 38 cm high. But its a clear-seal type, and has no lid...therefore no light in it, and potential a tricky situation if fish attempt to fly.

Ask at your LFS, they will often know of someone that will build aquariums to size. My preferred LFS has such a contact.

Wonder how much an 80cm by 30cm by 30cm aquarium would cost. Not the biggest i know, but i work with what im given.

Drop them an email and find out, i had a 6x2x2 built by them 18 months ago and i was very pleased with the price, including £50 for delivery it was still cheaper than buying the tank locally by a considerable ammount.

A question though.

Do they just supply the tank itself? Or can they build a lid also?

the tanks at P@H have lids but the stupid place never have them together in the same place, dont ask me why, ask staff they will get one for you, i did

Ah right. I just thought that because theyre bigger, they didnt come with them. The two long tanks that were there had no lids, but all of the smaller tanks had them.

Besides, even if i did go down that route, how would i get a light on the lid? Its only a thin bit of plastic. Unless i made my own custom top...but that would be hard
