After a month of messing about with convicts, angels, texas' etc i redid the tank a few weeks ago and made the push to head for discus. After having the discus in quarantine for a couple of weeks while the tank equals off cycle wise they are now in their new home and loving it.

The blue turq listed in my stock is in the gf's little 60L at the moment as it is less than an inch long so it needs to grow a bit first before it can join my two red turqs.

Since they were put into the qt tank they were both quite pale but eating well, now since they got comfy and settled in my tank they are now starting to get they colouration.

This guy is about 3.5" now and the other is around 4" but was a bit camera shy so didnt come out.

Apologies for poor pictures!

So do i.

They are eating well and begging for more even when i feed them three times per day lol. Cant stop reading about them tbh, after everything ive read they dont seem so hard to keep but knock on wood they wont be =-)

There hasnt been much to be honest, there has actually been a little bit of courting behaviour going on, chasing, shaking, wagging etc.

I have confirmed that i have a male and female red turq so im going to be purchasing a fourth discus around the time the blue turq moves in to keep aggression spread out.
