As most of you know by now I have a mixed guppy tank. I have one lyretail in my tank with about 10 females. I've kept my other male in the Bi Orb because his tail is fantastic and the water quality seems to be keeping it beautiful.

The Lyretail has mated with the females but I have yet to get any lyretail babies. When will I see the results from using him. The females are just normal fancy guppies. Do I need lyretail females and if so where do you get them?

Hi. I haven't any Guppies but as you breed cats i think you know about Genetics ,perhaps on the first cross you only get Lyretail carriers, then if a carrier is mated back to a Lyretail you probably get 50% Lyretail 50% plain Tail.
Possibly two Lyretail carriers would have 50/50 offspring.
I am baseing this on cats and am open to correction
