I couldn't resist adding this lutino CAE Gyrinocheilus aymonieri to my albino/ lutino collection.

as you can see he has a beautiful pink tinge to the white body

And before you all start, I am well aware of their "alleged"
reputation, so don't even think about going there. :p

I had one of these called Orion! He was a rescue and unfortunately gave up the fight after two weeks.
However, I was completely in love with him and do miss him.
He was a gentle giant too!
Wolf - congratulations! Absolutely lovely fish!

He's lovely :) - hope he's as well behaved as mine has been for the past 3 years !

no not at all - but they "can" be little b*ggers to take care of
The have a notoriously bad reputation for being aggressive and eating the slime coats off fish like Angels etc. and they can grow up to 10" - though generall smaller in captivity.

Wow I didnt know that about them. Well since they cant get along with angels there went my wanting on out the window..That is just about all I have anymore..Is ANGELS I love them. I have a bunch of new fry will be up for adopition soon

I just come accross them in the various lfs that I visit, and working in one helps too.

I don't have a tank just of albinos/lutinos. all of mine are
spreadout amoungst my tanks.
maybe the next tank will be just for them.

Lovely! My local Walmart got in a shipment of CAEs in which every single one was partially leucistic... they were all spotty!

Very nice :) You HAVE to try and get some lutinoy khulis, someone had one the other day on here, absolutely bootiful....

Very nice fish.

As long as they don't go with vertically compressed fish (discus, angels, festivum cichlids and silver dollars even) They tend to be absolutely fine! They have reputation of getting aggressive when they are maturing, but this is usually towards fish of a similar shape/colour.

nice fish wolf!

I've got two living in my 100 gal, never been any trouble except to each other but now they keep out of each other's ways.
