This is my first planted tank, hope you guys like it.

I need some suggestions on stocking new fishes, anyone can suggest some suitable fishes for this tank?

Depending on the size...whenever I see planted tanks like that, I think angelfish..

Yeah I like angelfish, but not familiar with that fish yet, does anyone know about any type of small size angelfish?

I think its such a beautiful tank ,fish would ruin it lol

mmmm what kind of fish i dont know, some nice tetra shoal would look nice?

Haaa... helsekia is so funny. :)

Not all fishes will ruin a planted tank. :)

Finally I have bought 3 types of fish, 7 in total. But still haven't checked out their name yet. Will post a pic to share soon...

I am still open to suggetions in adding more fishes. Prefer small fishes.

10/10!

A beautiful tank!
Well proportioned, good layout. Nice choice of plants. If this is your 1st attempt at planted then that is truly staggering.

Hats off to you my friend, well done!

12pm to 3 pm, 5pm to 1am
That's a strange lighting regime. Can I ask why you've chosen those times?
Also, what substrate are you using and how do you dose your tank? Do you use EI?

Thank you for the compliment, this will make me learn more and create a better tank. :)
I do enjoy planted my own tank so much, and it might not be the best to everybody but at least I love it personally. ;)

The lighting I purposely set it in such a way is because 12pm to 3pm is my lunch break, so by having the light on, I can enjoy the tank during that hours. The same to the night session.

The substrate is just some ordinary black gravel. EI? mmm... I never really read much or understand much about the EI thing yet. heee... :)

Thank you guys again and wish to get more comments... :)

that looks really beautiful! well done

A very kind forumer has told me that the red fish I have is called cherry barb. I have 3 of them, all are male, will buy some female for them soon. :)

i think your tank looks lovely...

and it's nice to see a natural low-tech planted tank like this, too... there's too much snobbery around planted tanks at the min in my opinion... after all, all the plants we have in our tanks managed to evolve over millions of years, without the help of either takashi amano, tom barr, or the frigging estimative index.

WELL DONE>

'Snobbery'.... erm....

Thing is, plants did not evolve in a sterile environment such as a fish tank, probably due to the lack of abundant fish tanks laying around millions of years ago.

Sorry that the extensive profit-free research that the likes of Tom Barr has made over the last 15 to 20 years and the selfless efforts, time, patience and care that he takes in telling others from experts to newbies alike of his research comes across as snobbish.

I wouldnt put an Angelfish in there. They need tanks much deeper than 12" :good:

Luc, what about some Honey Gouramis?

I have never seen a Honey Gourami in my LFS yet, will search for it... :)
Thank you for the recommendation. ;)
