My flippin gourami died, everything else is fine amm 0,nit 0,10ppm nitrates,7.9 ph, could the ph be why?, How do u lower Ph?

Need more info:
how long has the tank been set up?
is it cycled?
how old was the fish, any strange behavior before its death?

The general rule is don't mess with the ph...never mess with the ph. A stable ph is better than a changing ph.

It could have been... if you just got it and he wasn't alimented right. was it a dwarf gourami?
dwarf gourami's are specifically bred to be small and are disease prone

I have kept normal gourami's in the same ph for years with out any problems. one of my current gourami's is seven years old.

Cycled,45 GAL, No fish were bothering it, was just out of the blue

Gouramis like Neutral water. Although if you have a tough one if may be able to adapt. If not check you other water parametres.

if it was a dwarf gourami then that could be your answer if their isnt anything else as like said previous are prone to disease and infection. but i wouldnt mess with the ph leave it if its stable!
