N0body Of The Goat
Oddball and African riverine fish keeper
During my week's holiday from work, I've started to look around at lighting solutions for Nelly's old tank, but I have to confess I'm worried about either not giving the plants (Java Fern, Anubias barteri nana) enough light or giving them so much that they will need daily ferts...
The tank is 60cm deep, with a wooden brace upper boarder that sits ~4" higher than the glass, with a modified door that sits in a groove.
A 150cm setup is not vital, in fact in some ways a little shorter would be ideal, allowing fish to lurk in a small shadowy area if they so wish.
I don't know if something like an Arcadia 11w Arc pod would be too little (I suspect there would not be enough light penetrating the tank bottom)...

A "Betta" 150cm T8 2x58W with adjustable length feet intrested me for £49, although I wonder if it is too powerful for my needs, plus I guess I would need to remove the "door" lid...

A flexible T8 double controller unit (18-40W) looks a good option, found them at store for ~£35 yesterday, but I wonder what power tubes I should get...

A virtual penny for you thoughts would be most appreciated
