Would you guys know of any small low maintenance plants for a small 8 gallon? I already got anubias nana, java moss, and marimo balls. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

the windelov java fern is among my favorites. bit unique in the way it looks. i think it grows a little slower then regular java.

Ive just done some reading on those plants and it seems like vallis and cyperpus helferi are kinda hard to take care of. Do you guys have any other plants in mind?

vallis shouldnt be? The cyperus helferi is more difficult but is slower growing, it is up to you whether you want the challege ;)

crptocoryne sp. - loads of different species.
tiger lotus
sagitara sp.

Bolbitis and lily species may overrun a small aquarium.

What is your lighting level? I run an 8g with 24W and still consider that low-maintenance.

The link in my signature has a list of easy to grow plants.

Well, the tank isnt built yet, but i was thinking about 15-20w. I might actually have to hold off on the tank because acrylic prices just rose 35% which isnt really good for me. I might go with some hornwart and wisteria when I built the tank though. Thanks for the info guys

wisteria has really big leaves, if i were you, i would stick to finer leaves like mosses, this makes the tank look mch bigger.
