I bought 3 pygmy cories and 2 ghost shrimp today. He has been flaring at them all and chasing the cories, but hopefully he will settle down with them. (I have a spare tank if things don't go well :good: ) I'm leaving it for a few weeks, keeping an eye on them and the stats, and if all is well, I'll add 2 more, so they're a little shoal.
The ghost shrimp are fab-much more funky looking than the amanos I have at work. Little eyes on stalks and tiny pincers

mine flared at my new fish when he got back in from whitespot treatment :good: stopped after a day
just curious n showing it is his tank

mine followed other fish flaring lol didnt try to attack them or chase with any speed just cruised around behind them

Keep an eye on your Betta's fins. If they start fraying or come up missing chunks the shrimp are to blame. They will attack and eat small fish and nip at bigger ones at night. Beware!!

Thanks will do :good: Although his fins are a bit of a mess anyway-he bites them. I'm hoping some action in the tank will give him something else to think about.

what size tank is he in out of curiosity? as i fancied getting 2-3 for my betta alone in his 5gal

25l, so 5.5 UK, 6.6 US galls.
