Got a new camera for my birthday recently so the other day i decided to try it out taking pics of my fish- i have 4 tanks, 2 125gal tropical ones, 1 125gal goldwater one and o1 5gal quarentine/hospital tank. I couldn't take a full tank shot of any of the tanks since the kitchen where they reside in is way too full of laundry right now (and the lighting on the goldfish tank is actually not working right now, meh), but i did get lots of pics of the fish anyway  .

Will post goldfish pics in a mo  .

Goldfish (i have nine goldfish of comet and common varieties, ranging from about 6-9inches in length, they are going in my pond possibly within in the next week so this could possibly be the last time you see them as tank fish- some of them were adopted, while others were rescues :) );

Great pics of all the fish and love the goldfish.
See you still keep livebeares, I gave up on guppys couldn't keep them alive for over a year.

Very Nice. Maybe you should tag the goldfish top fin and then catch in a year, take pics, and show how much they've grown!

Real nice pics-that guppy is a gorgeous blue  -needs a new life in my tank! (only joking)!

Great pics. :good: I especially like the white goldfish with the one orange scale.

i'm presonally not a fan of goldfish or livebearers but i have to say that that para pleco is gorgeous! how much did that cost?
and that shark is a right specimin! whats it's behaviour like at that size?

Thanks Wilder :good: . Yeah i've also had some tough luck with guppys too, the bacterial infection which swept the tank a month or so back took a big toll on the guppys and platys and the ones i have now are basically the survivors of the disease (it appears to have gone now)- the male guppys are currently outnumbering the females so i need to get some more females, but i'm a bit apprehensive about keeping lots of guppys again in particular since they seem to be so fragile these days.

Cheers :good: , actually that sounds like a pretty good idea, i will do that :good:

That is a gorgeous plec!
What species is it?

He's a Para pleco (L075) :)

:kewlpics:
Awesome pictures. Can you post full tank shots?

Will do when i get the kitchen cleared of laundry :good:

Thanks :good: , i'm really looking forward to what sorts of fry he'll father if any fry born in the tank survive long enough for me to catch them :good:

you dont see goldfishes in set-ups like that quite often :good:

Cheers Straydum :good: !

Thanks :) ! The white goldfish is one my favorite ones (although its really hard to choose a favorite out of all of them!) he/she was pure white when i first got him/her but over the last year or so its been growing its developed a small patch of orange scales and one orange streak in one of its fins which looks pretty cool- i think the goldfish will probably largely stay white for most of its life though :good: .

Ah the para pleco cost £20's- its the only one i've ever seen for sale though (although if i saw another i would totally buy it :p !), they stay quite small for plecos and are also pretty active for plecos (although when i first got it about 3-4years ago it was seriously shy, however as it grew it become increasingly bold and now its out almost all the time :good:) and are quite sociable and not territorial for plecos too, so its a pretty ideal pleco to have :good: .

The shark is a grumpy old character but its not too bad- it only really bothers the other fish at feeding time and even then it only half-heartedly chases the other fish during feeding times, its never harmed another fish in the tank. It used to be really aggressive and territorial when i first adopted it off a friend, however over the years its chilled out more a bit (i also stock the tank largely with shoals or schools of very similar looking fish, which the shark seems to get confused about and so doesn't really bother chasing).
The only fish it seems to get quite grumpy about in particular are the yoyo loaches in the tank- Yoyo loaches are unbelievably greedy fish and eat everything that gets chucked into the tank, including the sharks food, so the shark is often chasing the yoyo's off its food- but there's never any real aggression between them, i just don't think the shark likes sharing its meals with other fish lol  .

Great pics, my favourtite is the white goldfish with the black eyes.
Is that marimo 'moss' you have growing on that bogwood?

Woah, great looking fish. I really like the red-tailed black shark. Looks like it eats more than pellets. :shifty:
