Loosing A Lot Of Water...

so over the past few days its been really hot, and i was loosing a lot of water in my tank, and figured it was evaporation... but i filled it up earlier today, like 3 hours ago to the very top of where the black plastic is at the top of the glass... and now just a few hours later i can already see a good 1/4 inch of water missing... i was like, okay i know its warm but this is ridiculous... so the only other thing i thought it could be was a crack in my tank... bu it turns out, my filter got so clogged it wasnt letting any water threw so all the water was going out the top of the filter housing and down the back of my aquarium onto the carpet... i am ashamed...

replaced the filter, dried the carpet... all is good now... in my defense i replaced the filter just a week ago... so dont give me a hard time

Don't feel bad, it happens to the best of us. A spewing filter is why I started building my own stands long ago.
