yeah, have seen lots of the surfing dolphins. the best place to se them is jefferys bay. never surfed with them although a sea lion poped up next to me once. never paddled as fast in my life 
not really scared of sea lions but when something popus up out of the deep nearly the size of you when you don't expect it to, it gives you quite a shock, especially when you'v just read in the news paper that great whites have beed spotted two bays down the coast.
