Hello, I’ve recently been interested in growing duckweeds. Most varieties have been pretty easy to find online, but still no luck with any species of Wolffia. Many of the aquatic plant nurseries near me have no idea what it even is.

Any ideas of where else to look?

Are you sure you want duckweed? If you really want it did you check online? I know Etsy and eBay have a good amount of sellers that sell aquatic plants. I would check there.

I’m sure about duckweed, as it doesn’t take up space and is extremely difficult to kill. I’m not planning on keeping any animals with it either for the time being. I’ve checked all over Etsy and eBay which only have lemna and spirodela listings available.

That’s why I came here next as I’ve been out of luck everywhere else.

hmmm. I don't really know any other resources.

I know it grows wild in ponds and lakes, perhaps you could find a wild source?
