as the subject says looking for some input. I have a 125 gallon peaceful community set up. Current stock list is 1 blood parrot, 1 red shoulder severum , 1 firemouth, 1 climbing spotted perch, 1 black ghost knife, 6 angels, Asian bumblebee catfish, 2 yoyo locahes, 1 bushy nose, and 1 chinese algae eater. My question is to everyone what is an exotic looking but peaceful fish that i should add to the tank? I would like just 1 more fish to give it that WOW factor. I am looking in the near future to add an African Butterfly and a Spiny eel. But still need that 1 fish to make my tank complete. Any and all suggestions will help.

I'm a little confused why you're saying this is a peaceful set up? Most of these are either semi-aggressive or predatory fish, excluding the loaches, bushynose, and maybe the bumblebee catfish but I don't know much about those.

You already have some exotic looking fish in there, is there something particular you possibly have in mind? Any certain colors or sizes?

Some issues you may want to look at..the yoyo loaches should be kept in groups of 6+.
I imagine you may end up with some problems from the angels if any of them pair up.
Chinese algae eaters, as they grow, stop eating algae and start going after fishes slime coat.

I am still not good at all with stocking numbers/deciding if a tank is overstocked so am not going to recommend you add anything yet until someone with more experience comes along.
The ABF could possibly be a good fit, though. What is the current of your water like? What sort of spiny eel are you looking at? They come in a variety of sizes.

Bichirs might be the sort of wow you're looking for, but you'll want one of the smaller upper jaws, and research their compatibility with your current fish.

i know you saw my facebook post but for anyone who can see it the reason why i say peaceful is because i have had these fish for 5 plus years and everyone is happy and healthy. and yea i know about the CAE but it is only a baby for now and will be moved into a much larger set up when it comes time. and the yoyo's  are very very old and thats the ones that are left from the 8 originals. and  looking for something under 8 inch

sorry i didnt answer you back on some of your question water is perfect ph is 6.7. the spiny eel like a tire track thats all they have around me.

Sengal bichirs are the most active and smallest, but they lack the colors of other bichirs. I would suggest elephant nse fish but your current tank mates are much to agressive eaters and you would need a fully mature one to not get beaten up, and many hiding places, and sand, and a lot of other things lol, so id say no to EN. Maybe add 4 more yoyo loaches and a spiney eel would do well, I love my tire track eel, but he gets to 2' 6" which i didnt know until after so I will rehome him when he grows. Could try a arrowana if you have a tight fitting lid and like to feed live guppies/goldfish/minnows to your fish (not just live in their diet). Personally get rid of your chinese algae eater and get a really cool looking pleco is what I would suggest, but make sure you research your species of pleco, the one i bought needed driftwood and luckily I ordered driftwood a little before I bought him so he was fine, but couldve been bad because my L169 is 36USD, boy im just rambling on ok ill leave it at that hope a helped!

thanks and no such thing as rambling on. i was thinking an elephantnose but i was thinking it would not get the food needed and yeah i will most likely get more yoyos. i wouldnt do the arowana just because of the size and dont want to have to rehome. as far as the CAE he will be going into a bigger much more aggressive set when he is bigger. i have had many of the fancy plecos like royals etc and they just never did it for me. but thank you for the input every little bit helps me to try and figure out what i want. its sad i dont even know where to begin i was looking into the geophagus but then im not to sure....

Dragon goby, rope fish, lung fish they get big but grow really slow but are known to randomally take chunks out of tank mates so I'd say no to him, freshwater snowflake/moray eel, let me go find some more lol I love those oddballs XD
Leaf fish, datnoids

You can get a smaller spiny eel, if you are able to go to places such as petsmart or petco. I know petsmart has a striped peacock eel which the max I've heard of is 14", but usually around 8".

Arowana are too big for this size tank, and I know you know that from FB but figured I should say it here as well.
I'm glad you don't want to get anything to big and re-home it later. Fish should be for life, just like cats or dogs.

Elephant noses shouldn't be mixed with BGK's anyway, one or the other usually gets beaten up. Dragon gobies are brackish.

So my suggestion is the peacock eel, if you can get it. May I ask why you won't order online btw?

Sorry for some of the false info and suggestions :/

Don't worry too much over it saw, I hope I didn't come off rude or anything!

No your good ninja! lol better to have the correct info on here

the biggest reason why i dont order online is the simple reason i believe in staying local. If everyone shops online then they would go out of business and it has a chain effect. plus i like to see the fish on site to know what i am getting. Being a business owner myself it just eases my mind. local people are the ones whom put money in my pocket. so i return the same thing back to the local stores.

Ah I see. That's a good thing I think, just shame you can't get exactly what you're looking for if they don't have it :/

Sorry havn't been of much help I don't think on finding a fish for you to add!

No worries I pick up a pair of Honduran Red Points. Beautiful fish and perfect fit for my tank!!
