Looking For Identification...

I just came back from Petco with my new real plants. Im not sure what they are though, one is Bamboo and the other is this sort of plant with arrow shaped leaves that are green on the edges and a little pale white in the middle (maybe due to loss of water). Its too long to fit in my 10gallon so what should I do? Should I cut the leaves off or just cut the stem and leave the roots?
