Looking For Betta's Locally To Warrington (cheshire)

I said that because he asked if it was ok to have them in a jar/bag for an hour, now in the post there in their for obv alot longer....

Did i say that it's not ok to send them in the post? No

I never said you did I said I wouldn't insinuated it , with fry so young and t4ppo presumably being prepared to wait 4 months which is great but I just think its fair to give people the most choice and options they can have.

All Im saying is putting a seed of doubt in someone's mind saying " I wouldnt do it" makes others think this method may be risky which it isnt .

I also said its nice for breeders to have people near by who want their fish. i.e. good for you

All I'm asking is that your careful of how you phrase things and if you don't know about posting fish don't mention that you wouldn't do it. I was also explaining how postage worked for you.

Im not trying to put any doubt in his mind lol, im saying that fish come in the post in bag/jars and take at least a day, iv also read that people import them from abroad etc which takes about 4 days, and on that basis having it on the train with him for an hour would be fine.

Tell me where iv said that posting them is a bad idea or in any way said that its bad?? I havnt. My fish came to me trought the post and arrived perfectly fine, i dont think for one moment that its not ok to do.

Im not here to argue with you as I said before I didnt say you said it was a bad Idea. So you wont find me jumping through that hoop. I said if you dont know about it dont mention it, its easy Im just giving you some constructive advice.
I also think you should be aware anything could happen to your fry in 4 months and perhaps mention to t4ppo that this is how long it will take before your fish are a safe age to go to a new home.

Alryt mate, im from runcorn, iv got some fry here at about 3/4 weeks old.Be a little while till there ready but if you look at the thread i made called Tanks, you can see the parents which iv bred.

If your after somthing now, white moss garden centre sell some pretty nice betta's. They have some in these little jar things which arnt the best, look out for the ones inside the bigga tanks, they seem pretty nice.

Thats in widnes by the way... They'v said they will take some of the fry off me, so you might even end up with one of mine if you got them from there lol

Is the white moss garden centre a Maidenhead Aquatics?

Hi

I think there has been a simple misunderstanding. Initially when i read Craigs post about posting, i too thought that he had implied that sending fish wasn't good. But when read in conjunction with the OP's previous post it sort of makes sense. When Craig said "Well if you bought one of the breeders on here, there going to be in a bag or w,e for a least a day while in the post, so id say no" It looks like he was implying that posting wasn't good. But when you put it with the question by the OP "i live right by the train station so they would only be in a jar bag or whatever its in for like an hour... or is that too long? "

Just goes to show how careful you need to be in "text land" :good:

Exactly, thankyou bronze cat. It seems that wilson is just out to argue with me whatever posts i make on this forum. I said more than once that posting is fine imo and i was just relating it to his question but he didnt take notice.

And go ahead if you think you can find posts that will put him off buyng from me???

Ill have no problem shifting the fish, the garden centre iv mentioned told me they would take on 20/30 when there ready and anouther lfs shop told me they deinetly want some. Them being the only two that i have approched. I did anouther rought count before and got 39.

So im really not worried about where there going to go, im not in it to make money and ill happily give them away if it comes to it.

Possibly, i think the aquatics bit is ran seperate, but its at the back of the garden centre.... i really dont know.

Although i worked out what you meant, Wilson is not the type to purposely cause an argument  It was only after reading it all again after the the little confusion set in, that i too realised that you didn't mean posting was not good.

Just worth bearing in mind when replying to specific questions :good: I've written posts, and before submitting realised that they could be read two different ways so had too change them

Wow i go to work come back and my thread has been hijacked by an argument LOL! Whatever next...
