Looking For A Tropical Look In My Pond.

I have been looking for a tropical look in my pond. given up in my larger pond.
guessing i wont ever see the fish, just gonna stick with goldies!

so i have a medium sized pond outside and was wondering.....could paradisefish survive in it through winter? i heat it during winter but am not sure of the actual temp. i have a few pleco in it now. the only tropial i have ever risked keeping in it, and they seem to thrive fine.

so how about some paradise gourami?

Paradise fish are a subtropical fish so would be fine, but with a max size of only about 3inches I doubt you will see much of them

i still want some! they are amazing! how about betta or other gourami species?

and how do you tell male from female on paradise? i was told to get a certain number?

Different anabantoid species rarely get on and you generally find that if you mix them there will be a lot of aggression,
Male Paradise fish can be extremely aggressive, especially towards a fairly fragile betta,

Males have much more extended bodies with longer flowing fins
