I'm wondering....
My molly last night.. she was hiding and I took a look and she dropped yellow egg's....

Did she abort?

My levels are great and she is not bothered by any other fish... she was fat ...I mean really fat for a long time.. I thought she was just a fat molly because she was fat before she was introduced to a male 33 days ago but the dates would match up.

I don't understand why she would abort though.... does it just happen for no reason sometimes?

I have two more prego mollies and would like to make sure this doesn't happen again.

It dose sound like it sorry to say.

Their is usually some factor that affects the fish to cause this, being moved is the most common.
Stress from poor water or harassment is then then next main reason but sounds like u on the ball with that side of fit.

ya i really dont understand what happened. I even had a swordtail have healthy fry a few days ago.. and my male molly.. he has his interest in another molly all week.. she she has been left alone. She is swimming around all healthy today though.

just one of these things i guess sorry.

how long u had them?

I've had most of the mollies for about 6 months... one of mine that had a batch a month ago .. I had her for a year. I just moved them a month ago into a 90G... thats where my older molly had her first fry (60) the fry stay in a 29G
in the 90 G I have 5 blood parrots, 2 Plecos, 4 mollies, 3 swordtails, and 4 platties. The blood parrots take no notice to the smaller fish..

And my swordtials are every 30 days dropping fry since november/ I've been selling them $2.00 each only to avoid people taking them to feed to other fish.

I have blood parrots that have eggs every month but nothing comes of that because they are man made.

That happend to my guppy too! It seemed like it was a normal pregnancy but then she started having the eggs come out, the next day she died, I felt so bad for her, it was her first pregnancy too!

Well She seems very healthy and active today... I have another molly due anyday and the male will not leave her alone for one second... the one who aborted seems to be helping out by chasing the male away from the other prego female.. she has been chasing away anything that comes near the prego one today... kinda cool they work together sometimes.
