Looked Like A Cut But Its Getting Bigger

WE have noticed one of our corys has got a red mark on its left hand side just behind its gill. It looks as if the gill has popped out its really strange.

We kept it seperate overnight and whilst we were at work today and have noticed that it appears to be getting bigger

Any suggestions???

Its really difficult to get a picture of it.
