I managed to get a company to give me a budget of 400 pounds to refurb and re-stock their poorly maintained fish pond/aquarium thingy in the waiting room
Here it is before...
And after!!!
Excuse the murky water, as you will probably be aware, the gravel has dusted the water slightly, should clear in a day or two.
I cleaned all the stones, removed a few, removed the limescale, added three powerhead type filters to clean and provide a current after adding the new cleaned gravel. I also re-stocked the pond with 80 pounds worth of Koi.
So, i spent about 150 quid doing it, got me 250 quid out of it!! Took me 3 hours from start to finish. Best of all, i have a 60 quid a month maintenance contract. Where all i do is basically clean the filters out once a month!!
OH, and even better, when they pack up in 6 months time (its a sales office for new building development) i get to take all the stuff/fish back
