I have plays, corys and one lone molly. He's a male and I'm wondering if they do well on their own. Lately he's been acting flirty with the female platys. He gently nudges them and gently flicks his tale around them, also following them around.
I'm not a huge molly fan I must admit but I'm growing fond on him. If he's fine on his own that's great but if not can someone advise me what to do?
Thanks. :good:

he will be fine i have a lonely female molly may be we can get them together one day lol.

Mollies aren't shoaling fish, so he would be fine on his own, although he wouldn't complain if he got some company of his own kind.

Ok. I'll ponder on it as I'm upping my numbers. Thanks TLM. :good:

There is no need to limit your stocking to other mollies. Mollies do enjoy company but don't shoal in numbers so another of his own species is not needed.

Thanks OldMan, I'll leave him be. He's the boss at the moment and he seems happy enough.
