WHAT! You went over my Helmet!
Hi folks, My lombardoi (sp) and my greshaki have been in the tank since day one, (about 10 months) and are starting to mature a lot (seeing lots of new behaviour). So far the lombardoi has been the boss
but they have always kind of battled slightly. But I noticed today the greshaki has now taken over two of the lombardoi's caves
and beaten up the lombardoi quite badly, with marks on his nose, and down both sides if his body.
He looks quite down and isn't his usual self
, but is still chasing a few other fish though
. Do you think he'll be ok? I might put in some melafix but I dont have anywhere to put him as the fry are in the other tank.
cheers chish

Not too surprising with the more aggressive species. Just keep an eye on them, you may need to move your rockwork around a little to break up territories, but as long as you keep up with water changes he should heal up just fine. Mbuna are used to battling each other and heal remarkable fast, at least mine do.
