Ok, so a few months ago I got one of those Zoo Med floating betta logs. It's great, and my betta loves it.
But about two weeks ago I noticed that the log had slowly started descending to the bottom of the tank. I fiddled with it today and discovered that it doesn't float anymore! I took it out and cleaned it off (might as well while I was in there) and it seems to be just fine... except it stopped floating.
Anyone else have this happen to them? I know I can just buy another one- they're cheap- but it's still a mystery...

Hi, I wasn't aware of these toys for bettas, just having done some research they seem rather neat! it appears that if you allow the log to dry out for a few days and then place it back in the tank it should float again :good:

How strange!? I've had one for most of this year and haven't had any problems with it. Nice to know that you can dry it out and try again if you do have trouble though,- so thanks for that betta fish! :)

Thanks, betta fish! That answer just makes too much sense lol
These logs are the best thing ever! My betta loves it. I actually decided I don't mind it not floating right now- he likes to swim through the little hole in the top! lol
Bettas are such great fish
