You now the firm, not wanting to name them more but....

Wife & Son went into local yesterday to buy some wee Neon tetra's to complement the 3 he had, left after his Pim Pictus decieded to eat the other three. No issues so far //

I returned home from work to find the new fish covered in White spot

Popped into the store today & complained..... Got a complemetory bottle of White Spot remedy...

Just typical of these places though, have a good moan at you if you get it slightly wrong but hey when its there turn, do the close the tanks NO!

although the shop shouldn't of sold them if they did have signs of whitespot when they left it's also down to yourself or wife who ever's buying to check out if the fish are OK before putting them straight into your tank.

at work it's hard to spot all the tanks that have whitespot before customer do, if someone points a tank out that we haven't got covered it's usually apriciate and we then treat quite promptly.

oh and every single fish shop will have a problems with whitespot, it's just how you handle them that counts.

Agreed - But as I had been in there at the weekend and bought some other stock from them - I had pointed out to them the state of some of their Neon Tanks.... The assistant was going to do a nitrite test there and then....

Re the wife checking the stock, 95% of the time they get looked at by the staff then placed into the brown paper bag so as to not stress them, then get floated in the dark again not to stress them etc etc... So hence she neva saw the poor fella's until they were at home in the tank when I looked... AS the light was only put on at this point....

As far as I'm concerend the stock should be healhly at point of purchase...
