We have had live rock in our tank for about a week now and we've got allsorts starting to appear and this is where I need your help please.
I can't take photos at the moment as my camera's not working so I'll describe everything as best as I can.
1. Snails - white and brown almost checkered markings, smallest is about 4cm and the biggest is about 7cm. Any ideas on what they are?
2. Bristleworms? - I've found about 5 and only noticed them tonight. A couple of them are quite pale but the others are a brown colur, remind me a bit of millipedes. Are they harmful at all or can we just leave them in the tank?
3. No idea how to explain these! We have a beautiful bit of LR with mushrooms and a kind of grassy looking thing growing on it. There appears to be about 6 tiny little creatures on this piece of rock but I can't see any anywhere else. They are about 2-3cm and are almost transluscent. One or two of them appear to have a slight brown line along their backs and they also have "feelers". I've just been watching them and I can't tell if they're fighting or mating.. Any ideas on what they could be?
Any help will be much appreciated,
Angie

Thankyou so much Lynden for that link, managed to identify pretty much everything on our live rock!
Seems we have allsorts indeed, including feather dusters, Asterina stars, Collonista snails etc.
That has been a great help so thanks once again. :good:
