Sorry if this post has been done before.

I was wandering what hitchikers (inverts, fish or corals) that you have found on your Live rock? I think there should be some interestings ones out there!

I've had the normal bristleworms, copeopods, amphipod, algeas, tube worms, snails, crabs, small clams, limpits, aptaisa and zooanthids.

oh and rock!

Had all the normal culprits

But lat year, I found a nice peice of LR ( I know its only a rock) but about 2 - 3 months afterward it started sprouting Ricordia, to date I have had 6 Heads from the Main rock & they have multiplied a few times themsleves

Not a hitchhiker but saved me a fortune (Ricordia's go for between 15.00 - 40.00 + in the UK)

Did read a story on RC about a Damsel hitchhiking in some Liverock, was out the water for a good 1/2 hour & survived

Yeah, I remember reading a story complete with pictures of somebody who had a baby octopus hitchike on his LR, lived for a couple years

Ive had a mantis!

was in one of my first bits of LR, I kept hearing clicking, Luckilly I only had about 3 bits of LR so after doing some research I used the feshwater dip method, and he came straight out of the rock!

I have a smallish zoa colony on a piece of my live rock...roughly 15heads.

On the rock my Xenia is on I have a 4" chiton which i'm very pleased with. :D

Also have a lovely Halimeda growing off another piece

I love my Stomatellids who came with a small mushroom piece of LR rubble. They since multiply and I see different ones everynow and again. I love some of my crabs that hitchhike!

My LFS's pet hermit crab (named Herb) hitchiked onto my friends LR. After realizing that it was there, we quickly returned it to the store.

Anyone ever had a mantis shrimp thats hitch hiked on live rock?? I've been reading up about them alot recently, and the lfs I'm doing work experience has one. I think their awesome, and if i had the space and was allowed to, i would set up a tank for one :D .

three-fingers the largest tank needed to keep a mantis is 10 gal

some kinds can be kept in tanks as small as 3 gal

my 2 favourite hitchikers have been blue colonial tunicates in my 5Gal Nano - these were gorgeous but unfortunately died off slowely over time. The other one is a red Mythrax crab who is in my 40L tank with the mantis.
