Since there seem to be a lot of questions about stocking recently...
Generally speaking, do live plants and cleaners like shrimp or snails allow you to stock more? My tank is fairly heavily planted, and the plants will spread more as they grow. I have six cherry shrimp and 10 ghost shrimp. I also have some pond snails, but the population has dropped since I added the shrimp and planted the tank, which I'm hoping means there is less waste available to feed on.
My stock list is below, but I'm not really looking to add more at this stage. I'm thinking of upgrading to a 50 gallon soon, and just wanted to know in general how big a difference plants and shrimp make.
My water quality is very good by the way, and I do a 40% water change once a week.
5 male guppies
2 sparkling gourami (I would like to add two more)
6 cory cats
5 rasboras
